Tapered Inc. (“Tapered,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and waitlist at gettapered.com.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you submit: your name, shop name, city, Instagram handle, phone number, referral code, and your consent choices. We also collect the page and campaign parameters that brought you to the form, the date and time of your submission, and security or verification results needed to prevent abuse.

The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics that track you across sites.

How we use information

• Operate the waitlist, invitations, city launches, and referral program.
• Send waitlist and invite communications you requested.
• Protect the form, diagnose problems, and prevent fraud or automated abuse.
• Respond to questions, requests, and legal obligations.
• Understand which launch campaigns and referrals are effective.

Text messages

If you opt in, Tapered may send waitlist and invitation texts to the number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You may also email [email protected].

A submitted number and referral are provisional until the number is verified. Unverified submissions do not affect referral rank or city counts, and we do not activate invite texts until verification and opt-out handling are available.

How we disclose information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to vendors that host, secure, store, or deliver the waitlist and its communications; to professional advisers; when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of the business.

The site uses Cloudflare for hosting, database storage, network security, and Turnstile bot detection. Cloudflare processes technical signals when Turnstile runs under its privacy policy and Turnstile privacy notice.

Retention

We keep waitlist information while the waitlist and invitation program are active and for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. We then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is needed to comply with law, establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud, or preserve consent and opt-out records. We keep suppression records as long as needed to honor an opt-out.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your waitlist information, or withdraw from the waitlist, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Applicable law may provide additional rights or exceptions.

Tapered does not currently track your activity over time across unaffiliated websites for advertising, so the site does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Other parties do not collect personal information through this site for cross-site advertising on Tapered's behalf.

Security and transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee complete security. Information may be processed in the United States or other places where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Children

The waitlist is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and waitlist change. We will post the revised policy here, change the effective date, and provide any additional notice required by law.
